School Savvy NQ welcomes back Gold Partner

Centacare NQ’s School Savvy initiative is delighted to welcome back Queensland Country Bank as a Gold Partner for the second year running.

“The School Savvy shops are an upcycling initiative aimed at providing affordable school uniforms and supplies for those families most in need”, said Centacare NQ Director of Client Services, Stephen Burrowes.

The School Savvy process involves collecting donations from October to the end of the year and preparing school items for the pop up shops open to the community in early January.

In addition to Queensland Country’s financial support of the School Savvy NQ initiative, the Community Volunteer Program will once again give Queensland Country Bank staff the opportunity to show their individual support.

Last year Queensland Country employees got involved by volunteering to sort, wash and fold uniforms in the lead up to the shop opening, they also provided customer assistance in the pop up shops.

School Savvy NQ would not be possible without the support of Queensland Country Bank and we would like to thank them again for helping us reach our goal of helping 1000+ families during our first School Savvy NQ initiative at the beginning of the 2021 school year.
