Education and Life Skills

The Education and Life Skills program provides group work services to children and adults. We aim to enhance individual quality of life and strengthen family relationships. We offer a number of courses on enhancing personal, interpersonal, and parenting skills, and address specialised relationship issues such as family relationships, and families dealing with high levels of conflict.

Courses for different age groups are also available and focus on building self esteem, emotional self-regulation strategies and personal safety.

Eligibility to access service

Enrolment in this program is through self referral, participants will be placed on a waitlist and contacted when there is a vacancy on a course.

Groups are subsidised through the Department of Social Services.

We request a contribution (see below) towards the costs associated with facilitating the group. While no-one will be refused our service on the basis that they cannot pay, this contribution enables us to continue to provide a valuable service to the community. If these contributions are not possible for you, a reasonable fee schedule can be discussed with your Facilitator.

If the combined annual household income is under $45,000, the fee is $5 per session

If the combined annual household income is $45,000 to $70,000, the fee is $10 per session

If the combined annual income is $70,000 and above, the fee is $15 per session

For concession card holders a gold coin donation will be accepted * (concession cards must be presented each session)

*123 Magic and Emotion Coaching, Engaging Adolescents, and Building Connections will require a small fee ($5 per session) to cover the cost of resources. Please speak to a facilitator for details.
