Celebrating International Women's Day 2024 at Centacare NQ!

Today, on International Women's Day, we are thrilled to announce and celebrate a significant milestone in our organisation's journey. For the very first time, Centacare NQ proudly presents an all-female Senior Leadership Team!

In 2019, Paula Washington blazed a trail as she was appointed the Executive Director of Centacare NQ by Bishop Tim Harris. The Bishop expressed his immense pride in Paula's appointment, acknowledging her as the first female Executive Director at Centacare NQ in almost three decades. Paula's leadership has been nothing short of inspirational, driving positive change and progress throughout our organisation.
But the celebration doesn't stop there! In October of 2023, we welcomed Dr. Susan Moore as our new Director of Client Services. Dr. Moore brings with her a wealth of experience in the sector, with a background encompassing social work, education, research, and leadership roles within various government departments. Her expertise and passion for serving children, families, and communities will undoubtedly enrich our services and support our vision of ‘Wellbeing for all’.
Additionally, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Michelle Paulsen as our Remote Operations Manager. Michelle has been an invaluable asset to the team, stepping up to provide exceptional support to our operations and staff in Mount Isa and beyond. As a vital member of our Senior Leadership Team, Michelle will play a key role in shaping our services and operations over the next twelve months, ensuring that we continue to thrive and make a positive impact in our communities.
On this International Women's Day, we celebrate the incredible achievements and contributions of women like Paula (pictured right), Susan (pictured left), and Michelle (pictured middle). Their leadership, dedication, and resilience serve as a beacon of inspiration for us all. Together, let's continue to empower women, break barriers, and create a more inclusive and equitable world.
