Centacare NQ Supports Inaugural Mental Health Conference

Centacare NQ is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Inaugural Australasian Mental Health and Higher Education Conference to be held at James Cook University from 30 June to 1 July.

Convened to support approximately 1 in 4 students estimated to experience Mental Health challenges in the last year, Centacare NQ is on board to help advocate the mental health and well being of students across the region.

Conference participants will be informed by the most recent research, exploring innovative, integrated and sustainable mental health interventions led by universities in collaboration with researchers, mental health bodies and the broader community.

Keynote speakers will include Dr Benjamin Veness (who recently published The Wicked Problem of University Student Mental Health report), Dr Jan Orman (a GP and facilitator with the Black Dog Institute Professional Education team) and Professor Pat Dudgeon (psychologist and Research Fellow currently researching suicide prevention).
