Centacare Life Skills courses aim to enhance individual quality of life for men, women and children, and strengthen family relationships.
  • All of our courses are developed to be culturally appropriate.
  • Morning, afternoon and evening courses available.
  • Requests from your school, workplace, community group or club are welcome.
There are two specific courses for men:
  • Outrage - a supportive and positive course for men on expressing anger in a healthy non-harmful way.
  • Hey Dad - for men to explore the skills, benefits and challenges of fathering.

Whilst these courses are specifically designed for men, there are a number of other parenting and life skill courses that are male inclusive including:

  • Parenting Under 12's
  • Learners PermitVirtues Parenting
  • Family Finances
  • Feeling Deadly

Eligibility to access service

You do not need a referral to access this program.  Self referral is essential.

Professionalism

At Centacare each group facilitator has either tertiary qualifications in the social sciences field and / or relevant experience in facilitating programs in the welfare sector.

Workers are ethically bound to refer clients whose issues are outside their area of expertise or where the issues do not fit within the guidelines of our service.

Confidentiality

Intervention is confidential within the limits of legal and professional boundaries. This can be clarified with your worker if you are unsure as to what this means for you.

Fees

Annual household income under $45,000 = $5 per session

$45,000 to $70,000 = $10 per session

$70,000 and above = $15 per session

Concession card holders are not obliged to pay, however contributions towards the costs of service provision are encouraged (concession cards must be presented).
